The Vedas are the oldest sacred texts of Sanatan Dharma, traditionally divided into four collections: the Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda, and Atharva Veda. Each Veda serves a distinct purpose, from hymns of praise to instructions for ritual and philosophical inquiry.
At the Vedic Cultural Society, our Satsang gatherings often draw on these texts to explore themes of dharma, karma, and the nature of the self. Over the coming months, we will be publishing a short series introducing each Veda in turn.
